House Is Almost Ready!

There has been so much that has happened with us these last 5 months, you would think that I would be blogging every day but of course I am unable to because of all of the other distractions like Facebook, new season of tv, general chores, kids and of course just pure laziness. So we are almost in our new house, most everything inside is almost done except for the carpet and fixing up a lot of dings and scratches. We are really excited but my excitement gets diluted when I think of EVERYTHING that needs to be done. This move is going to be an orchestrated event where the movers, installers and delivery people all have to come in before we actually live there and all around the time of Thanksgiving. I want to get in there as soon as possible so I really didn't give us that many days to do all of that, in fact only 5 days and one of the days is Thanksgiving.

Of course, because of our excitement, we are eager to have people over since we've been holed up in our 900 sq. ft. apartment. So I volunteered to have our fellowship's Christmas dinner at our house 28 days after we move in. Actually, every year it's at our house so it's nothing different except we live 30 minutes farther away. If I actually think about it though, I am somehow suppose to move in, make the house resemble a home, decorate for Christmas and Christmas shop for friends and family. AHHHHH....Calgon take me away!!!! Never a dull moment!!!

With all that said, we are SO incredibly blessed. The kids adjusted to the new school as if it's was just another day and have not complained once about our temporarily living arrangement. In fact, we have grown closer but that's probably because at any given moment, we are no more than 20 feet away from each other. The apartment is nice, I even have my own washer and dryer.

Here is an updated picture of our house from the outside. Once we're moved in, I hope you'll come and visit so you can see the inside of it for yourself.

Spring Break 2007

This year we spent a week in a little town called Solvang, CA. It's a cute town and known for their Danish bakeries and Dutch exteriors. Here are the pics from Solvang, Vacation Pics Part One.

We then took an action packed excursion to Hollywood to go to Universal Studios. Zach had a blast whereas Hannah didn't care for it too much. The rides including the tram ride with the earthquake, King Kong and flood is a little too real for her. She was a trooper though, she did everything that she was tall enough to do and occasionally sat on our laps. Here are the pics from that, Vacation Pics Part Two.

And of course, our vacation would not be complete without a quick family video,

Kevin and Sophia's Wedding

On February 4th, my cousin Kevin married Sophia at La Venta in Palo Verdes Estates. The wedding was outdoors and the weather could not have been more perfect. The view was spectacular and the wedding was beautiful. It was also the first Wong family reunion, family came in from Hong Kong, Canada and different parts of Cali.

This is marked another time down the aisle for Zach and Hannah. The count is 5 times for Zach and 4 times for Hannah. Here is a picture of them in their wedding clothes, courtesy of my cousin Winston. I'll post pictures of the wedding soon.

Hannah's First Field Trip

This past Friday, Hannah had her first school field trip. Unfortunately, I could not go with her but Andrew did. They had a great time and it was good father/daughter bonding. I guess Andrew was also the popular parent because he was making up games and playing with all the kids who finished their lunches early. Andrew already put the pictures up on his blog so instead of reinventing the wheel, here's the link, Pictures from the Field Trip.

Harvest Festival 2006

This October 31, Zach and Hannah attended their school's Harvest Festival. Zach was a race car driver and Hannah a Hello Kitty Fairy (actually, I don't really know what she is). The Harvest Festival had booths and jump houses and was really cold. I worked for most of the night so I didn't get to enjoy it with the kids. : (

Santa Cruz Boardwalk in August

For Zach's Birthday Present, my brother-in-law, Alex bought tickets for the kids, himself and Andrew to go to Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Here are links to Andrew' blog with some really fun pictures of the kids.
