Thanksgiving

Sharing with our friends and family the latest on Andrew, Annie, Zach and Hannah.

Zach's school has an annual Heritage Day right before Thanksgiving to celebrate family. It's an opportunity where the kids can invite their parents and grandparents to their classroom where they do a craft together, snack together and they can present something to the family. Both Grandmothers attended this year to see our little turkey perform.

With a bunch of friends, Andrew and I went to Irving Berlin's White Christmas on Saturday to watch Andrew's brother, Alex. He was part of the ensemble and also played a waiter. He's a great dancer and we were so proud of him. We had great seats, center stage, 8 rows down. It was a bit surreal to be watching a musical at this big and popular theatre in San Francisco and to know someone on stage and that someone is a relative. We're proud of you Alex!

So last week was another first for Hannah...her first flu, stomach flu to be exact. In her short lifetime, she probably tossed her cookies about 3 to 4 times. I think she was hitting that number on an hourly basis for a few hours. Like all kids, she got better quickly...it was like the 12 hour flu for her. Of course, Hannah also wanted to practice the characteristic of sharing...so Andrew and I both came down with the stomach flu 2 days later within hours of each other. We, unfortunately, didn't get better in 12 hours though.
